He was potty trained,  he could walk and talk.

It’s unfortunate then that when his birthday came around he was apparently in a bad mood or dirty or hungry or something and “grew up badly”.  Bugger.

(He’s got his mother’s mouth.)

Or perhaps he was crying for a different reason.  Who’s that woman?  Well…

Dustin met an attractive blonde.

Her name is Lena, and she made herself at home, much to Sarah’s disgust.  She flirted with Dustin.

Sarah looked accusingly at me for introducing this woman.

After the initial shock, Sarah didn’t seem to mind.

But she did.  She gave Dustin his marching orders.

Dustin tried to plead with her.

But no, she was adamant.  After a bit of crying…

Dustin left, leaving Lena still there.  Lena wasn’t budging.

So Sarah packed up and left, with Dillon.

She returned to kick over the trash can a few times…

but Lena was around to pick it up again.

With Sarah gone, Dustin was free to move back in and get to know Lena way better.

He doesn’t muck around.

While Dustin was at work the next day, Lena had the house completely renovated, to make room for a driveway and car, which Dustin had always wanted.

The kitchen and Dillon’s bedroom had to be demolished to make way for the driveway.  The house was built up instead and the master bedroom is now upstairs.

Inside, it all looked very different.

The previous entrance area was now the kitchen with the dining area further down.  A spiral staircase leads up to the bedroom.

A side door leads to the car.  There was now a proper lounge area.

The kid’s bedroom is behind the lounge.  The bedroom (with ensuite) upstairs:

Lena redecorated as well, replacing some of the furniture.  She hasn’t got round to replacing the bed yet.  Needless to say, Dustin got a surprise on his return home.

Dustin no longer wanted to be a cop.  He’s changed careers, wanting to get into business, so now he’s a mail ‘technician’ earning a lot less.  Lena got a job as a desk sergeant, earning more.

The couple had a quiet wedding in the backyard (which will be next on Lena’s project list).

(A workmate is the only witness.)

He has the odd tantrum, does Hamish.

Leod was a good dad.

He tries his best anyway.

Oh yum, burnt omelette

Leod likes fishing so his cooking will improve.

Bobby’s birthday soon came around.

He started high school the next day.

Looks like the garden needs some work.  Brandi’s onto it.

Life’s pretty sweet.

I didn’t expect any movement and there he was coincidentally.

Anyway, after a visit to the campus shops, he doesn’t look quite so nerdy.

He met a new girl.

Her name’s Sandi.  Beau got his first kiss.

She’s studying philosophy.  Beau still hasn’t declared his major yet.

Dillon had his birthday.

He looks a bit weird.

Between them, Dustin and Sarah taught Dillon to walk on that first day of being a toddler.

Dustin brought a workmate home one evening.

She’s quite attractive but Dustin’s not interested in her romantically.  He does need a friend though to get a promotion.

But he wasn’t tired at all.

Whatever it was, it was catching.

Sheila had the same problem.  They were both cured by actually sleeping.

Brandi taught Hamish to walk,

while Leod taught Sheila to talk.

Beau was worried about his zits.  He thought perhaps that was why he didn’t have a girlfriend.

Maybe he would find someone at uni.  Unlike Dustin, Beau was lucky enough to go (but without a scholarship).

He looks a bit of a nerd though.  That might change.

Leod learned to cook desserts and was showing off to no-one.  He managed not to set fire to the place.

And then it was the twins’ birthday so soon!  Sheila grew up happy.

But Hamish didn’t.  Brandi had taken too long in getting round to changing his nappy and he was filthy.

Bobby has another day before he grows to a teenager.

Dustin still didn’t have the car he wanted but that meant major rebuilding to fit a driveway in.

Then he discovered what he feared…

He was about to become a father.  Sarah’s tummy grew..

until, of course, she had the baby.  Dustin was relieved it was only one, after hearing about his mother’s birth to twins.

Dustin now had a son.

They called him Dillon.

And before she knew it their birthdays came around.

However, the changing took time and Brandi went to bed.  Leod was already sleeping.  So it was up to Beau…

First Sheila

then Hamish.

Leod finally woke up and headed down to celebrate… a bit late.

It was time to build another bedroom and a place to put the stereo and computer to prevent waking the babies all the time.

The extra rooms were built upstairs.

The littlies fought over the bottle

Hamish won that round.

As the pregnancy progressed, Brandi thought she was going slowly mad.

Leod helped out with Bobby when he could, and he began to have second thoughts about his wish for his own children but it was too late.  It got easier when Bobby grew to school age.

He looks like his mother.

Beau got to know Sharla Ottomas.

They played after school.

Beau’s birthday was soon after Bobby’s.

This was just as well, as he could help out with the new baby on the way.

Or should I say babies…  I should’ve known Brandi would have twins again.

Sheila was born first.

Then Hamish

Brandi still wants 10 kids.  I’m sorry but no.  Five is quite enough.  Besides, the house is too small.

Sarah was the one to propose to Dustin.

He accepted and they got married quietly on a rainy day.

Patricia Wan was the only witness to the wedding.

Sarah had wanted a proper wedding but Dustin didn’t want any fuss.  He just wanted it over with and to get on with life.

Dustin is in no hurry to start a family.  After all, his mother just gave birth to his half sister and half brother.

Sarah, however, has other plans…

Brandi and the kids moved in.

Beau seemed pretty happy with his new room.

Bobby was forgotten outside…

while the adults were otherwise engaged.

However, Bobby was rescued and all was well.  Brandi and Leod had their first meal together.

As for Dustin, the family home was now empty and he could move back in.

The place was empty and lonely though.  He invited Sarah over.

He invited her to move in.

She did.
